COVID-19 Statement

We've taken robust measures to ensure that the health and wellbeing of our competitors, visitors and employees is of paramount importance during the global outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID- 19).

We are closely monitoring the official advice given by both the World Health Organisation and the guidelines from Public Health England on the steps we are undertaking. We are vigilant in ensuring all of our staff have been fully briefed and are constantly updated on the ongoing situation.

We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our site at all times and in response to the Coronavirus, we have taken additional measures developed in consultation with global and local public health authorities (including the WHO and Public Health England) to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous:

Our public areas, toilets and showers are meticulously cleaned using the strongest cleaning and high-grade disinfectant products proven to be effective against Coronavirus

All of our high volume visitor touch point areas including door handles, handrails, tables and reception desks are sanitised on a regular basis
All menus and credit card machines are regularly sanitised
Tables are sanitised after each guest visit
We have increased the numbers of antibacterial hand sanitisers available across all areas of the site

A great time at our first show back-

With understandable trepidation we attended our first stay away show following Covid. We were immediately put at ease by the clear measures in place at the cafe, stables and toilets (clear marking re distancing, lots of sanitising stations).

The warm up arenas were well planned with a large flat work area for 5, a jump area for 5 followed by a collecting ring with a fence. It worked really well. The person doing the practice fence looked after everyone making sure they had what they needed before competing-much better than people monopolising the fence! I found this much less stressful than pre Covid and would encourage anyone undecided to get out and enjoy your horse without worrying - you might be pleasantly surprised.

My daughter (a Para rider) has been shielding and it was easy for her to stay safe. I actually think a lot of these elements have taken the sport forward. Knowing when you’re jumping is great and if you get a genuine blip (like we did) communicate with the steward as they’ll try to help. I’ve heard a lot of people making assumptions about how things can’t work and they’re scared to go out competing - don’t be. Communicate with your show centre and get back out there.
